solo self-choreography movement piece
performed at calarts dance bfa2 solo show ‘ouroboros’, in the sharon disney lund dance theater
an exploration of myself, my ties to the hellenistic realm. in many versions of the myth, persephone eats the cursed fruit under the label of naivety. few adaptations of the story choose to consider her a ravenous girl. i perform this movement piece with a real pomegranate, giving her a version of the story where she eats it all, unapologetically. she is a girl, hungry.
performed by myself
